Meet Your Guide - Tom Mann Jr.
I was raised in middle Georgia and have been hunting and fishing all my life. I was 16 when I joined my first bass club and fell in love with not only bass fishing but also Lake Lanier. There is just something about those big spotted bass that I love. Being a tournament fisherman I have had the opportunity to fish the best bass lakes in the country and Lanier is one of the best there is for spotted bass. Another one of those favorite lakes is Lake Okeechobee in south Florida. There is no place like Lake Okeechobee in the middle of winter, fishing in t-shirts and catching huge largemouth. Lake Okeechobee is an awesome fishery year round. I have been on the professional bass tour for over 27 years and have won over $1,000,000. I fished the B.A.S.S. tournament trail for 20 years, qualifying for the Bassmaster Classic nine times and am a two time champion on that tour. Since then, I have competed on the FLW Tour, have qualified for seven FLW Championships and I am a two-time champion. I retired from tournament fishing in 2012 and moved to Florida. I am now an independent full-time guide on Lake Okeechobee.
