20121227_080939_226x375.jpgBass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is about to explode, Bass are finally trying to spawn. We caught 40 today on live bait with two 8 plus lb fish. Fish are starting to get where they should have been a month ago. Right now just look for the beds and fish in that area, you will catch fish. My favorite bait is a watermelon red senko. Get in the grass flats and look for the holes and cast the senko in the holes and let it sink. Be patient and let it sit there, they will find it. The top water swimbait bite is not on yet, The flipping bite is off and on but i look for it to get good very soon. This is going to be a great season on Lake Okeechobee. Come fish the best lake in the country...Lake Okeechobee. Give me a call or an email or call Roland Martin's Marina to book your trip and just ask for me as your guide.
